Centralisation of production sites
RAUCH Landmaschinenfabrik develops and assembles spreader machines used in agriculture for fertilising and sowing as well as for communities' winter road services. Founded in 1921, RAUCH today is a family-run company in the third generation. 300 staff produce 15,000 machines for the global market per year and generated a total annual turnover of more than 56 Mio. Euro in 2009.
Strength for innovation as well as the use of the latest development technologies and up-to-date production facilities ensure high product quality. Continuous growth distinguishes the company. The three existing plants reached their extensibility limits. All production steps were to be merged, modernised and supported by an efficient logistics system.
The decision to centralise the production sites means to the company to continuously assert its leading position in global competition.
io-consultants' scope was the lead consulting including the development of a sustainable centralisation concept and management of all requirements concerning building regulations as well as legal and approval issues for the section of land available. io-consultants was also in charge of detail equipment planning and the subsequent tender award process for architecture, construction, logistics and IT.
